The Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) for grades 3 – 8

MAP, or the Measure of Academic Progress, is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth.

MAP assessments are administered to measure a student’s growth in mathematics and reading. The assessments help teachers identify the instructional level of the student, and also provide context for determining where each student is performing in relation to local or state standards and national norms. MAP reports allow teachers to better target instruction based on students’ strengths and needs.

•American College Testing (ACT) for grades 10-12

The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions. The ACT test covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning.

Advanced Placement Test (AP) for grades 10, 11, 12

Advanced Placement examinations are exams offered in the United States by the College Board and are taken each May by students. The tests are the culmination of year-long Advanced Placement courses. AP exams have a multiple-choice section and a free-response section. It worth a College credit hour.

•The Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) for grades 4- 12

DELF is an official diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify that foreign candidates have achieved a certain level of French. DELF covers 4 independent diplomas corresponding to the first four levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

New Generation International Schools is a DELF Test Center. DELF was integrated at NGIS in 2014 and since then our results have been 100%.
