At NG, our mathematics curriculum aims to help all students to be able to:
- Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them
- Implement Mathematical concepts in real life applications
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to use mathematics in everyday life
- Use mathematical language accurately and effectively
- Master fundamental mathematical skills like; analytical thinking, and quantitative reasoning
- Manipulate precise and intricate ideas, construct logical arguments, and expose illogical arguments
- Work independently or in groups to implement mathematical concepts taught
- Improve time management skills and be able to finalize requested tasks on given time
- Understand mathematical concepts and processes at a level matching their development and ability
- Integrate mental math in all mathematical standards, number sense, properties and operations of numbers, measurement, geometry and spatial sense, data analysis, statistics and probability, algebra and functions.
